    We are XUCOP

When I think about Xavier's pharmacy program, and our administrators, our faculty and staff, I think of them as a competent, extremely knowledgeable, diverse and caring group of individuals. I think when you think about our alumni, I think a large number of our faculty were not large, but a good portion of our faculty are alumni. And I'm one of those examples.

So we have different partnerships throughout the New Orleans metropolitan area, and some of our partners even outside of Louisiana throughout the United States. So we offer different types of rotations for all of our students, so that they can gain experience outside of the classroom. So our preceptors are essential for our experiential education and our program. Because they are the teachers, they are out there-- teaching the students monitoring the students to make sure that the experience is going well. You know, we had Xavier partner with them. And we offer preceptor training. And we also do site visits, and so forth to ensure that they get the support they need from us, as well as we get support from them. So it's a win-win situation for everybody.

I think that is one of the special things about our pharmacy program is the fact that we are a fairly diverse group. And that's whether you look at the faculty, or the students in terms of our thinking. And what we do and how we do is important, because I think we all thought the same way. And you would all lead us down a certain path but to be able to have a voice and speak to what our background kind of kind of brings us to has been very valuable. And I think it really makes a difference in this program.

So here at Xavier is a special place, where we're here striving for excellence amongst our students, faculty, staff administration, and we want that known in the community. That is our reputation, and we will continue to do the best that we can to strive for excellence in our community.
